Dovo Solingen - Bismarck Cut Throat Razor

The Bismarck is one of Dovo's most popular razors and one which hasn't changed much in the last hundred years. The handle is held together using rivets of polished nickel and is decorated with a silver inlay bordering a mother of pearl panel which bares the 'Solingen' moniker, the place from which it came. The blade itself is produced from high carbon steel shaped by skilled craftsmen into a 6/8 full hollow ground straight razor, which is finished with decorative 24 carat gold etchings.

Straight edge razors give you the closest shave, but they do take some getting used to. Acquiring the techniques of using a straight razor, however, are well worth the effort, after you have mastered the skill, you will use a straight razor for the rest of your life.
