Dovo Solingen - Special Cut Throat Razor, Tortoise Shell

The handle of this blade is made using a very convincing simulated tortoise shell handle and the Dovo logo is inlaid on using sterling silver. This razor will make an attractive addition to any bathroom.
The blade is made from high carbon steel forged into a blank and tempered using fire and ice for hardness. The blank is then shaped and grinded into a 5/8 full hollow ground blade, brand stamps are added as are the custom filings and the shanks finished. The blade is then polished and sharpened. Finally the decorative 14k gold etchings are added to the blade.

Straight edge razors give you the closest possible shave, but they do take some getting used to. Acquiring the techniques of using a straight razor, however, are well worth the effort, after you have mastered the skill, you will use a straight razor for the rest of your life.
